1,000 Years

2 Peter 3:8 With the LORD a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day.
Psalms 90:4 A thousand years in your sight is like a day that has just gone by or a watch at night.
In the book of Job it asks if God’s time is the same as our time? God’s time is not the same as our time. God exist outside of time. He exist in eternity. In both the Old and New Testament says “in the last days”. One day in the sight of God equals one thousand years, ten thousand years, one hundred thousand, one million, ten million, one hundred million years. It is all the same if you exist outside of time, and moving back and forth in time would be as easy as thinking about yesterday or tomorrow. The first moment in time to the end of existence is all the same moment in eternity.
I can not remember the name of the man who made the statement “ Religion and science do not disagree, they just ask different questions.” Man is both ignorant and arrogant to presume that the timetable written in Genesis is written using our time. The Book of Genesis is a beautiful parable. Man continues to get into trouble by misunderstanding parables. He also take parables as literal truths. When Genesis is taken as literal truths it contains many statements that are, confusing at the least, or impossible at the other end of the spectrum.
In both Testaments, they use the one day is equal to one thousand years. Given the period of time when the books were written one thousand years was probably as long a period time a normal person could comprehend.

Insanities

17 May, 07 Tonight, I am very tired I took a darvocet because of the pain in my left shoulder. I guess there is some therapy in just writing down my thoughts. No matter how much insanity comes out. Insanity can be a sign of confusion, anger, ignorance, frustrations, or just plain insanity. Lord knows that I have enough to fill a 55 gal. barrel of each and three barrels with anger.

Last night we went to celebrate Kim’s birthday with all the king crab legs you could eat. I couldn’t open them up (picking) because of the pain and lack of coordination. Glenda picked some; for me I do not know if she has any idea of how frustrating that was for me. I was the one who taught her and Kim how to eat crab.

Idolatry

Idols
I have found, that I have been practicing idolatry. I have setup young women as my idols. Females in the full bloom of their sexuality. Since I can’t not notice them; because of an ingrained reflexive action, this sin is extremely hard to stop. In my waking hours they either parade past me, or through my mind. Even in my sleep they come to haunt and entice me. Dear LORD please help me.

The first will be last

Mat 19: 30 and Mark 10: 31
But many of the first will be last, and the last will be first.

Many of the first refers to those who were alive during the time of Christ and His miracles, or within the first couple of generations, they actually saw these things or knew people who saw the events making it easer to believe. The last are those who believe after thousands of years. As time passes, it is harder for the world to accept the Word. With so many trying to distort the Word into a myth, it is getting harder to find absolute faith.

Baal-Zebub

Baal-Zebub
For out of Baal-Zebub’s mouth comes smoke and fiery brimstone to rain on the people, not the righteous, but the wicked. For he has always been a vicious and evil deceiver, the master liar to mankind tough out all the ages.

I Am But A Match

I Am But A Match
I am but a match, containing just the smallest portion of Your Light. May Your Light ever grow my heart. Is it not the match that lights the wick of the lamp, does not that lamp increase the light twenty fold? If that lamp is placed in a lighthouse does it not become a beacon? Through your Majesty, Power and Love, may I become a beacon to those around me.
