1,000 Years

2 Peter 3:8 With the LORD a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day.
Psalms 90:4 A thousand years in your sight is like a day that has just gone by or a watch at night.
In the book of Job it asks if God’s time is the same as our time? God’s time is not the same as our time. God exist outside of time. He exist in eternity. In both the Old and New Testament says “in the last days”. One day in the sight of God equals one thousand years, ten thousand years, one hundred thousand, one million, ten million, one hundred million years. It is all the same if you exist outside of time, and moving back and forth in time would be as easy as thinking about yesterday or tomorrow. The first moment in time to the end of existence is all the same moment in eternity.
I can not remember the name of the man who made the statement “ Religion and science do not disagree, they just ask different questions.” Man is both ignorant and arrogant to presume that the timetable written in Genesis is written using our time. The Book of Genesis is a beautiful parable. Man continues to get into trouble by misunderstanding parables. He also take parables as literal truths. When Genesis is taken as literal truths it contains many statements that are, confusing at the least, or impossible at the other end of the spectrum.
In both Testaments, they use the one day is equal to one thousand years. Given the period of time when the books were written one thousand years was probably as long a period time a normal person could comprehend.
